This is an original "NOS" vintage "Himalya - Kuno Rainer" ice axe made by the Felix Ralling Hammerwerk in the village of Fulpmes in the Stubai valley in South Tyrol, Austria. It is stamped with CCB on one side for C. Christen, Bern, the sport shop where it was sold to some person who never got to use it. A few signs of storage but otherwise brand new!

For some history, Kuno Rainer was an Austrian Mountain Guide who was involved in the first expedition to climb Nanga Parbat in the Himalaya.The village of Fulpmes is considered to be the centre for iron industry in the Stubai Valley and therefore also referred to as the "Village of Smithy" which is also shown by the anvil on the emblem of the village.
